Adetoun Tinubu, the woman who claimed to be the biological daughter of the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said that her father meant well for the country, but that the problem was that some of his close aides did not share the same vision with him.
According to the start-headed daughter of the Nigerian leader, some of the aides appointed by her father are there only to make money for themselves, but not work for the country and its citizens. Their prime priority was to enrich themselves by all means, she added, believing that such people should not have been in the president’s team at all.
Although Adetoun Tinubu did not mention his name, those she cited as examples, work directly under his jurisdiction. The two she mentioned were the head the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Olayemi Cardoso and the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Mr. Olanipekun Olukayode. The two institutions generate and manage a large amount of money for the government of the country.
But, in a video clip which she made and posted on YouTube, she alleged that the two men had been busy enriching themselves, instead of assisting the president to realise his dream of turning the economy of the country around, to be not only number one in Africa, but also to compete favourably with some of the best in the world.
She claimed that some of the people who have been appointed by the president were very poor to the extent that they could not afford a change of clothes for many years because of their position of penury. However, such people were NOW so fantastically rich, courtesy of corruption, that they could afford high end luxury clothes from the best shops around the world. They also own big mansions and big and fast cars, in addition to their pockets very deep, she added.
The Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, under whose watch the severe economic climate in the country became increasingly unbearable, appeared to have been one of those who speaks to attract and impress his employer, but whose interest is not in tune with the president’s.
In a trending voice, the honourable minister claimed that all the hardships being faced by the citizens of the country, to which they are pleading with the government to ease up on the overbearing situation, were caused by past administrations, who failed to implement the economic reforms that were needed to straighten up the economy of the country.
Mr. Edun has however, chosen to forget the many critical and negative remarks made by the present president, against the same ‘past administrations’ he now blames for the hardships in the country. He must be told that the hardship brought on the country during the time of the ‘past administrations’ was not half as severe as the one caused by their team of incompetent and clueless ‘experts’, and which most of the population GOES through daily, for the single mistake of ‘electing’ them in 2023.
The President had severally accused the administrations of three of his predecessors of visiting hardship on the population in the country, insisting that the electorates did not vote for them to bring hardship on them. And at another time, he emphatically told the voters “NOT to REELECT me for a SECOND TERM if I do not supply the country with electricity’. A tall order, especially in the Northern region, because the frequent ‘collapse’ of the National Grid, which is, most likely, going to be a stumbling block for him to achieve that goal.
The finance minister claimed that: “The country is doing very well at the moment, and inflation witnessed an increase of only about 182.9%”. Under 20 months of President Tinubu ‘bought’ the mantle of leadership in the country. But that is a big lie, it is closer to 300% than the regime’s claim.
The National currency, the Naira, which officially used to exchange N447 to $1, is NOW 1$ to N1,750 and counting, in less than two years under the present Tinubu regime, obviously at the demand of the president’s controllers In Washington, the District of Columbia (DC).
Moreover, Nigeria is alleged to be owe the two international banks a whopping sum of N138 trillion from 1968, a lot of which was incurred by the present regime in only 20 months, and now the country is said to rank third (3rd) as the most indebted country in the world.
The Western World doesn’t not believe in many taxes in the country, nor do they see foreign loans as a way out of the poverty and underdevelopment that that have become a permanent future of poor countries like Nigeria. Margaret Thatcher in the UK, and a ranking Senator in the US believed respectively, in the World Bank and IMF’s medication. Citizens of Nigeria, including Professor Attahiru Jega, do not believe in the ‘religious’ application of the subscription of the two international financial institutions.
But you keep on shouting that the present regime has ‘saved $20 billion, but the regime keeps on borrowing from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), without telling the citizens of the country what was done with that money to warrant borrowing more. It is everybody’s guess as to what happened to the $20 billion. It was probably consumed by the one thing that the present regime does best: Corruption.
Well meaning people from the President’s area, which overwhelmingly rejected him at the poll, including brilliant writers and commentators, are in agreement that the president has ethnisied the regime into that of ‘the Yoruba people’. And nothing can be truer than that assertion.
To boot, otherwise honest people have been forced by the present overwhelming corruption-created poverty and general hardship, into becoming beggars of sorts, or doing all manner of things, including thieving from their fellow co travellers, so as to make food available to the family.
India’s most revered leader, Mahatma Ghandi, once famously observed that “If there is an idiot in power, it means those who elected him are well represented”. The Indian sage could have Nigeria in mind, when he made that witty, but, true remark.
It is NOW clear to the doubters that Nigerian is not being governed by a compatriot, but by the US, through its controlled robot, pretending to be the president of Nigeria. The country has never found itself in such a very corrupt, difficult, dangerous, and trying situation like now, under the leadership of Tinubu.
As some compatriots are wont of saying, ‘the country has entered a ‘one chance’ vehicle’. It may indeed appear to be so, because the present regime still insists and goes ahead with its misguided economic reforms. So hated, disliked and rejected by the overwhelming majority of the citizens, and even some from outside these shores, the misguided economic reforms, being perpetually carried out by the regime, are against the well meaning advice of well meaning people of all the religious persuasions in the country.
We will never get tired of praying to God to rid Nigerian of corrupt, evil and self serving leaders, and replace them with the people who fear him and, will therefore, not do anything contrary to His injunctions.
